Oh What a Night

The Hogan Store on Sloane Street

London was on a spike-heeled high during Vogue magazine’s Fashion’s Night Out on September 8th. With a host of events taking place all over town, it was the perfect opportunity for style mavens to shop and bop until they dropped (well, at least until 11pm). Highlights included the Mulberry party at department store Selfridges where shoppers mingled with hot Brit actor Tom Hardy and teen popstrel Diana Vickers who rocked the Neely bag to perfection.
At Juicy Couture’s grand Mayfair store Champagne cocktails and a pop-tastic DJ set by Sophie Ellis Bextor kept the crowd entertained. Society beauties Clara Paget and Jasmine Guinness were spied tucking into the super-cute cake-pops while browsing the rails. It was more of a cultural affair around the corner on Bruton Place where Showstudio.com unveiled an exhibition entitled In Wolves Clothing: re-imagining the doll. The upshot? Think cyber-Barbie and dysfunctional Sylvanian Families amongst portraits of doll-like models.
Those in search of a little sparkle hot-footed it over to Swarovski on Great Marlborough Street where cool Brit designer Holly Fulton was on hand to talk about her jewellery collaboration with Swarovski Atelier. Across town in Knightsbridge, the party really got started at Hogan where the huge crowd spilled out on to the street. Blur bassist Alex James, rock-progeny Nat Weller and Rupert Everett were all spotted amongst the throng along with ultimate (former) WAG Nancy Dell-olio who brought a dash of Milanese style to the Italian lifestyle brand’s Sloane Street store.
