Starworks Group is proud to have created the branding, identity, marketing materials and website for the Glasgow International Festival of Visual Arts through our branding arm – Marque. Last night, Glasgow’s vibrant art scene took over the city as its museums, galleries, and many other spaces showcased the work of both Glasgow-based and international artists in a vast array of exhibitions and events, celebrating the very best of contemporary visual art.
Over 50 artists are presenting sculpture, drawings, installations, films, videos, sound works, performances and music in venues ranging from the city’s renowned Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum -taking part in this growing event for the first time – to the Hunterian Art Gallery and Tramway to diverse artist-run collectives, small galleries and temporary sites.
With many projects revolving around the theme of ‘past, present, future’, Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art opens today, 16 April 2010 for two weeks. The Festival’s exhibitions program is complemented by a lively series of talks, screenings, seminars, performances and other events.
Artists include: David Shrigley, Susan Philipsz, Douglas Gordon, NVA, Joseph Beuys, Christoph Büchel, Leslie Thornton, Graham Eatough, Keren Cytter, David Maljkovic, Gerard Byrne, Linder David Noonan, Claire Barclay, and Jim Lambie.
