French Flavor hits NYC

(Beatrice Inn party invite & moi)
Tonight was a showdown between Paris ladies and New York ladies. I came to DJ for Leah McSweeney who is founder of street clothing line Married to the Mob. At her baby shower, Leah gave every single guest a gold KIER nameplate (the name of her daughter with Alife’s co-founder Rob Cristofaro). Kier is of course, a homage to Miss Lady Kier of Dee-lite.

(Colette owner Sarah, Tabatha McGurr)
The rest of the MOB crew (standing for “Most Official Bitches”) was DJ Jaclyn, DJ Elle, and my favorite 17 year old rambunctious blogger, Tabatha. On the French side was graffiti/fine artist FAFI (known for sexy girl murals), Nadège of Colette, and of course Sarah.

(cohorts: Elle, Nadège, and Fafi)
The other host was Uffie, a foxy Florida-born rapper with Miami Bass influence who now lives in Paris and created her electro-booty-rap sound out there. Quite a troupe! Everyone ended up in the tiny underground spot…. Matthew Williamson, Mark Ronson, Thom Brown, Ryan McGinness, Kaws, etc, etc. Party went till wee hours. Mission accomplished.
