Last Saturday night I went with some friends to a wonderful “one night only” performance of Right You Are (If You Think You Are) held at the grand rotunda of the Guggenheim. The show, a re-staging of the original Luigi Pirandello by celebrated Italian artist Francesco Vezzoli, not only featured a star-studded cast, including Cate Blanchett, Natalie Portman, Peter Sarsgaard, Abigail Breslin and Ellen Burstyn, but drew an audience to match. Mary Kate Olsen, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Lucy Liu, Brook Shields and Uma Thurman all took seats near the stage, while other spectators (many of whom waited for an hour or more to get in the door!) snaked their way up along the museum’s signature spiral ramp.
Though only appearing in the last few pages of the three-act performance, Cate Blanchett certainly proved her star power, captivating the packed house in a Dior Couture outfit. I couldn’t take my eyes off her!
