Radioheads deal with EMI expired in 2003. Who cares? Freshly announced last night, they’re going old school and selling the new stuff out of the trunk of their car (that means off their own website). If this pops off, it could be a “Tipping Point” for every other band to follow suit and blow off corporate labels. I don’t think it’ll be the death of cooler small labels though…artists will always need guidance from loved ones!
Anyway, the digital album will be released Oct 10th but the site is taking pre-orders. For the collector freaks, order the boxed set of two 12-inch Vinyls + 2 CD’s with artwork enclosed in customized sleeve ($80). Product will be shipped Dec 3rd.
